Sales of Maruti Suzuki Alto's 35 million models, included in the company's Top-3 model
In the case of Entry Segmate, every third car is Maruti Suzuki Alto. Alto Suzuki has also been involved in three of the highest-selling models in the world.
New Delhi: What is a big means of being happy to be two to four? Think of something else, before you tell you that we are not discussing raising a family here. Just asking that for the first time if you want to buy a four-wheeler vehicle, what would be your favorite vehicle for the first time. Maruti Suzuki, the largest car market leader, will be the answer to most people, Maruti Alto
Figures show that in the case of first four wheelers, Entry Segmate, every third car is Maruti Suzuki Alto. Alto Suzuki has also been involved in three of the highest-selling models in the world. In the Indian market, this vehicle is competing with, Iyon of Huyudayen, Reno's Quid, Tata of Tiago and Nissan with REDOO.
The company claims that sales reached 35 lakhs within 17 years of its launch and 35 lakhs of vehicles were sold in February. The special thing is that nearly 25 per cent of the customers buying Alto are 30 years of age or less, and these shares are increasingly growing. The average age of the buyer of this car, which was 40 years in 2008-09, has now come down to 39.6 years. On the other hand, Alto customers have more than 43% salaries. While buying this vehicle, where the customer first builds the number of kilometers in mileage ie one liter of oil, the second place is Maruti brand, then the style and finally the price base.
Maruti Alto was launched in September 2000, since then, it has been changed six times. A major change was made in 2010-11 when the Alto K10 was launched. Another big change happened in 2012-13 when the Maruti 800 and Alto were brought in the Alto 800 market. Talking about sales, where in the first year i.e. a little over 24 thousand alto sold in 2000-01, the number has reached 2.15 lakhs in the first eleven months of the current business year. The best year for this car was 2010-11 when the company sold around three and a half million Alto. Alto is also sent abroad from here. The company exports the car to Sri Lanka, Chile, Philippines and Uruguay.
Now when there is a rise in electric vehicles in the market, will the electric version of the alto be used? The company's reply is 'no'. The reason for the company's opinion is that the cost of electric vehicles is high and it will not be worth it to look at the price of the first shopping market.
